Green Day & AFI @ Verizon Wireless
Green Day & AFI @ Verizon Wireless
I heart the nom nom.
This past Sunday was an Open House for my boudoir photography studio and I started my appetizer search pretty early. I wanted some fun, chic stuff but I wanted it to be really easy too because I didn’t have a lot of time to refresh the trays during the event. I also didn’t want to worry about chaffing dishes and keeping things warm or cold.
For drinks, I kept it simple. Asti champagne & Bitch Bubbly (yes, you read that right and you can find it at Central Market) with a strawberry in each glass for a little twist:

Day Two Hundred Forty Three
Been getting lots of emails on when I'll be taking orders for the Leica M9 skin and I think I finally settled on how I would like to release this and it will be in the form of donations to NF.
Day Two Hundred Eighty Five - My Running Trainers
I bought a paid of running trainers on Saturday and used them for the first time tonight. A app on my iPhone gave me a running plan:
5 Minute Warm up, Alternate 60s jog with a 1m30s walk in between for 20 minutes and a further 5 minute warm down.
OK in comparison to what some people do the above is nothing but this application is suggesting strongly that I will be running a full 5k in approx 9 weeks. Considering how much of a fatty I am, that can only be a good achievement if I stick at it.
The State Of The Blog(s)
So far this blog has been a mix of my family portrait photography, a handful of wedding, personal + travel, and live music. I realize that this is a little ridiculous and it’s kind of confusing to scroll through the fun+upbeat+happy+colorful portraits and then be slapped in the face with mostly black+white+moody live music moments. It’s such a weird thing trying to compartmentalize all of these things that I love so much, but I’m working on it and have decided that it does make sense to create different sites for different things.
Here’s how it’s going down!

Summer Update
It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over. This summer has turned out to be one of the busiest of my career, which is why things have been quiet here on the blog. The craziness began in June when I was hired to shoot a number of backcountry camping scenarios for Cascade Designs to highlight their new line of MSR tents. We shot at number of locations including here in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah as well as in the North Cascades and on the Olympic Coast–both in Washington state.
When Manic Monday spills into Tuesday.
I’m pretty useless on Monday mornings. My brain is still wrapped up in the weekend past and I somehow slide through my day in a haze. I throw a party if I get anything real accomplished on a Monday. I didn’t throw a party yesterday. Or post on my blog, I know, I know. Take away my cookies.
Project 365 : 242/365 – Peculiar Flowers
These little flowers caught my eye a couple of days ago popping out of one of our neighbor’s fences. I went in for a closer look today and I caught the eye of a local police cruiser that was heading down the street. I am sure he was intrigued to say the least at what I was doing getting so close to the fence but once I acknowledged him with a wave, he kept on his way.

Day Two Hundred Forty Two
I don't quite remember how much homework I had when I was in 1st grade but The Girl came home with over 90 minutes worth of math and reading assignments.
She did try some shortcuts but I caught her doing them and told her the classic, "Do it once and do it right" speech. I don't think she fully grasped the concept of that but either way she ended up being best friends with the eraser end of the pencil.
